Lofts

Program Information

the Residents' Action Council provides students with loft beds for their residence hall room through Collegiate Concepts, Inc. (CCI) and has been doing so for the last 9 years. CCI is the authorized provider of lofts for Ohio University.

All lofts are strength tested up to 1,000 pounds.

More information is available at www.loftconcepts.com/ou.

Rooms with Dormer Ceilings

Please be aware that some rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors of some residence halls may not be able to accommodate a loft due to dormer ceilings and room layouts. The Housing Office provides dimensions and information for rooms on its residence hall profiles page, but cannot guarantee their accuracy. Specific rooms that have dormer ceilings are listed here. Should you find your room unable to accommodate the loft you ordered, please contact Collegiate Concepts.

Returning your Loft

Students who decide they no longer want their loft may return the loft for a partial refund for a limited time. Additionally, students leaving the residence halls need to contact CCI to return their loft. the Residents' Action Council and the Department of Residence Life are not responsible for lofts left in residence hall rooms. All personal belongings (including leased lofts) must be removed before a student can check out. Contact a Residence Life staff member for information on checking out of your residence hall room. Information on contacting Collegiate Concepts is below.
